Advance your college and business career by learning the strategies and skills needed to succeed in the business world. You’ll take integrated business courses which address business and career exploration, advertising, marketing, graphic design, web page design, and economics of business ownership and entrepreneurship. You’ll also put your advertising and marketing skills as well as advanced computer skills to use in a real world setting.  Whether you plan on pursuing an advanced degree or jumping straight into work after graduation, this Pathway gives you the leadership opportunities, knowledge and technical skills needed to succeed in business today.

The Entrepreneurship Marketing  Pathway at Piedmont Hills High School prepares you for a variety of options. We’ve seen graduates go on to:

By the end of the program students will be able to:

  • Market themselves and products successfully
  • Network with skill
  • Market with the understanding of production, sales and social media
  • Design graphic presentations and web pages following rules of design
  • Create web pages using HTML and style web pages using CSS
  • Write simple scripts to create form validation, slideshows, etc.
  • Use various media to promote products and services utilizing advertising concepts
  • Utilize current job connection resources
  • Analyze market research
  • Write a business plan
  • Present an online portfolio
  • Become entrepreneurs
  • Use research completed and knowledge gained in the program to select an industry to become an entrepreneur in or pursue marketing in
  • Successfully utilize word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, layout, vector based and raster based software.

What types of certifications or credentials toward college do I get?

  • All courses in the program are articulated with Mission College so students may earn college credit by completing the courses at Piedmont Hills High School
  • Students earn “G” elective credit for Introduction to Business, Web Page Design and Economics of Small Business Ownership
  • Students earn “F” elective credit for Computer Graphic Design (Advertising Services)
