Loni Olazaba is a Bay Area native born in Palo Alto, CA and raised in Sunnyvale, CA. As a Talent Acquisition professional she has recruited technology professionals in the valley for 16+ years, working for established organizations such as Google, PayPal, TiVo, and LinkedIn. Loni has a sincere passion for helping our youth identify their talents and strengths as early on as possible so that they can reach their full potential in life and she believes that through infusing programs and events into the educational system geared towards early career development planning we can positively influence the minds of students in areas that they will benefit from beyond school as they establish their identities and position themselves in society.

Hanh Mo is the Sr. Community & Government Relations Representative at Kaiser Permanente South Bay. She is a graduate of Independence High School and attended San Jose State University earning her Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology. Hanh is Kaiser Permanente’s local community sponsorship program manager and serves as the liaison for local initiatives, legislation and policy, chamber committees, and county coalitions. Growing up in an immigrant and low-income household, Hanh learned that the road to success was often difficult and full of challenges. She proudly serves on the Friends of PACT Advisory Board and the Christmas in the Park Board of Directors.

Stephen Ngo also serves as The Silicon Valley Organization’s (The SVO) liaison to the East Side Union High School District as the Program Coordinator of Workforce Development. Prior to this, Stephen served as a Council Assistant for the City of San Jose, specializing in community relations. He also has experience as a volunteer, substitute, and classroom teacher in classrooms from grades TK to 6th. He earned his BA in Political Science and Masters in Public Administration from San Jose State University.

Dr. Cynthia Temesi is Cisco’s Executive Education Advisor, North Americawithin the US Public Sector Team.Her primary role is to leadeducationaldigitization transformation withinregional, state,national and global organizationsin partnership with their community ecosystem. Dr. Temesi’s career began in the field of education where she held positions at Universities, Community Colleges, K-12Institutions as well as non-profit family services. She has been a Classroom Teacher,Elementary Principal, Department of Technology Chair, and Adjunct Professorand Lecturer. Cynthia’s last 16years have been focused within the technology, communications & collaboration industryholding senior roles inbusiness development, marketing, sales, and integration services. She has been with Cisco for 12 years.

Brandi Childress is the Community Outreach and Public Engagement Manager for the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA). She leads a great team of professionals responsible for informing and engaging the communities VTA serves to deliver better transportation solutions for all those who work, live, study and play in Santa Clara County. She holds a Masters Degree in Transportation Management from the Mineta Transportation Institute (San Jose State University) and is a proud alumna since 2008. She’s also a 2010 graduate of the Leadership American Public Transportation Association Program and 2015 graduate of the Leadership San Jose Program.

Tony Mirenda is a member of Blach Construction’s senior management team and serves as a Project Executive for the company. He has also been heavily involved in the public education market with over 25 years of experience using all phases of contract delivery including CM, CM-Multiple Prime, CM At-Risk, Design Build and Lease-Leaseback for over a dozen different Districts and a major student housing project at UC Santa Cruz. Mirenda began his construction career in 1982, after earning a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Santa Clara University. Shortly thereafter, he received both a General Contractor’s license as well as his Professional Civil Engineer’s license.

Ka-Ling Scoppettone is a teacher, Department Chair, ROP Coordinator and CareerPathways Lead in East Side Union High School District. She leads a great team of core academic and CTE teachers for the Linked Learning program at Silver Creek High School. Ka-Ling also works with the CTE Leadership Team at the district level to assist CTE teachers in other schools with their programs of study. She enjoys working with students and teachers in the roles of Linked Learning Coach, NFTE Teacher, Mentor Teacher, and Summer Internship Coordinator. She holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration (National University) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (San Jose State University). Ka-Ling has been with ESUHSD for 30 years.

Mr. Nguyen has a great deal of educational experience on which to build his vision. After earning a BS in Business Administration at San Jose State University, he continued on to an MA in Education Administration. From there, he devoted four years in the private sector, honing his management skills. In 1989, he began his career in education as a School and Community Liaison. Then he continued on as an English Language Development Instructor, a Bilingual Education Coordinator, a Site Summer School Coordinator, a Compensatory Education and Education Technology Coordinator, a Coordinator of Supplementary Education, and now as Director of Career Services.

Brenda has over 30 years’ experience in system design and development of Career-Technical Education and college and career pathways. Her experiences include 19 years as a classroom teacher and 14 years as a director of career education. Her experiences include curriculum design, program accountability and evaluation, industry partnership development, student transitions, data collection, and funding resource development. She has also served as project director for major state and local programs at both the high school and college level, including Smaller Learning Communities, Tech Prep, California Partnership Academies, and other workforce development programs. Brenda is the CEO of Dimensions for Learning, Inc., an educational consulting organization focused on coaching and assisting schools in design, implementation, and the integration of high quality CTE and College and Career pathways.

Dr. Lena Tran currently serves as Vice President of Strategic Partnerships and Workforce Innovation at San Jose City College. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Marketing at Montclair State University. She also has a Master of Business Administration at Seton Hall University and Doctorate of Education in organizational leadership at University of San Francisco. Dr. Tran has held administrative positions at Seton Hall University, UC Santa Cruz, and Evergreen Valley where she successfully led program development, community partnership, outreach, and student success initiatives. Throughout her educational career she has served as Director of Student Life at Seton Hall University, Director of Business, Education and Allied Health at UC Santa Cruz Extension, and Dean of Business and Workforce Development at Evergreen Valley College. Dr. Tran’s professional background also includes working with established technology firms in New York City and start-up enterprises in Silicon Valley. She is an author, Compassionate Vietnamese American CEOs-How six entrepreneurs achieve bottom line success by leading with their heart. She developed a broad base of business and academic interests. A few of her presentations include; Cultural Intelligence, Perfect Micro Manager, National Culture and Leadership Practices, Ethnic Marketing, Transitioning from the Classroom to the Boardroom, and Emotional Intelligence for Ethnically Based Organizations. Dr. Tran is recipient of the John & Susanne Roueche Excellence Awards, 2018. An Honoree for Fulbright Scholar College Administrators Seminar to Russia, 2016. Awarded 100 Women of Influence in Silicon Valley, 2015. Named to Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal’s “Top 40 Under 40, 2009.” Dr. Tran serves on the Board of Directors Member: Eastside Union High School District; CTE Advisory Board.

Antonio Nava is the Director of Human Resources for Vine Dining Enterprises, Inc. He is responsible for organizational structure, compliance, culture, staff development, fiscal planning, overall employee relations, operational support and people centric business strategy. Antonio comes from a non-profit education background and worked with the East Side Union High School District, Alum Rock Union School District and San Jose Unified School District. He has always strived to provide better educational and career opportunities for children in under served communities. He is passionate about helping to further develop non-traditional pathways for success.

Christian Pellecchia is the VP of Operations at Slatter Construction Inc., and he has served on the ESUHSD Career Pathways Advisory Board since 2016. He is a former H.S. Biology teacher and he is currently a professor of Facility Management at College of San Mateo. Christian is also involved with several workforce initiatives all throughout Silicon Valley. His foremost passion in life is helping others find their careers of choice and live to their full potential.

Daniel Cedeño is a Government Relations Representative for Pacific Gas & Electric Company.  He oversees PG&E’s government relations, community affairs, and corporate charitable giving for Santa Clara County.  Daniel serves as a board member for the Silicon Valley Organization and SPUR, and he is the PG&E member deputy to Silicon Valley Leadership Group.  The child of two immigrants, Daniel is originally from Los Angeles, and he holds a master’s degree in public policy from the University of California, San Diego, School of Global Policy and Strategy.

Eloy Vento’s background includes 24 years of extensive capital facilities planning, design, finance, and implantation of sustainable projects along with providing leadership and training in the facility educational environment. He has also been an employee of other public school districts as the Director of Facilities and Capital Planning for Lincoln Unified School District and St. Helena Unified School District in Napa County.

He has also been Vice President of an energy conservation company responsible for implementing energy related training with a focus on automated system controls. He has provided services for hospitals, community colleges, and universities across the United States providing facility related planning and training with a focus on sustainability, energy and education.
