Hanh Mo is the Sr. Community & Government Relations Representative at Kaiser Permanente South Bay. She is a graduate of Independence High School and attended San Jose State University earning her Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology. Hanh is Kaiser Permanente’s local community sponsorship program manager and serves as the liaison for local initiatives, legislation and policy, chamber committees, and county coalitions. Growing up in an immigrant and low-income household, Hanh learned that the road to success was often difficult and full of challenges. Tony Mirenda is a member of Blach Construction’s senior management team and serves as a Project Executive for the company. He has also been heavily involved in the public education market with over 25 years of experience using all phases of contract delivery including CM, CM-Multiple Prime, CM At-Risk, Design Build and Lease-Leaseback for over a dozen different Districts and a major student housing project at UC Santa Cruz. Mirenda began his construction career in 1982, after earning a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Santa Clara University. Shortly thereafter, he received both a General Contractor’s license as well as his Professional Civil Engineer’s license.

Ka-Ling Scoppettone is a teacher, Department Chair, ROP Coordinator and CareerPathways Lead in East Side Union High School District. She leads a great team of core academic and CTE teachers for the Linked Learning program at Silver Creek High School. Ka-Ling also works with the CTE Leadership Team at the district level to assist CTE teachers in other schools with their programs of study. She enjoys working with students and teachers in the roles of Linked Learning Coach, NFTE Teacher, Mentor Teacher, and Summer Internship Coordinator. She holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration (National University) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (San Jose State University). Mr. Nguyen has a great deal of educational experience on which to build his vision. After earning a BS in Business Administration at San Jose State University, he continued on to an MA in Education Administration. From there, he devoted four years in the private sector, honing his management skills. In 1989, he began his career in education as a School and Community Liaison. Then he continued on as an English Language Development Instructor, a Bilingual Education Coordinator, a Site Summer School Coordinator, a Compensatory Education and Education Technology Coordinator, a Coordinator of Supplementary Education, and now as Director of Career Services.

Brenda has over 30 years’ experience in system design and development of Career-Technical Education and college and career pathways. Her experiences include 19 years as a classroom teacher and 14 years as a director of career education. Her experiences include curriculum design, program accountability and evaluation, industry partnership development, student transitions, data collection, and funding resource development. She has also served as project director for major state and local programs at both the high school and college level, including Smaller Learning Communities, Tech Prep, California Partnership Academies, and other workforce development programs. Brenda is the CEO of Dimensions for Learning, Inc., an educational consulting organization focused on coaching and assisting schools in design, implementation, and the integration of high quality CTE and College and Career pathways.

Dr. Lena Tran currently serves as Vice President of Strategic Partnerships and Workforce Innovation at San Jose City College.
