Meet Your Mentors

Mr. Nguyen heads the Career Services Department. He’s the one in charge of implementing the Career Technical Education programs for the entire East Side district. Mr. Nguyen will be helping you think about the high-level strategy from the East Side perspective. He’s also a guiding force behind The Pitch Awards ceremony.

Mr. Cavada runs the CTE Multimedia Film Pathway at Mt Pleasant and teaches students the skills to tell their story using digital media tools. His past students have won film awards from the United Nations and local film festivals. He’s excited to help you unleash your most creative work.

Bianca is a skilled project coordinator, and she organizes seamless collaboration between clients and creatives. Teaming up with Julia, Bianca stands ready to facilitate discussions and empower clients to explore new possibilities to achieve their goals. As the driving force behind all project planning, award decisions, and final ceremony coordination for the Pitch Mentorship, she ensures every detail aligns for a successful year.

JoAnne knows the power of a good story. She’ll help you tap into your creative process so you uncover the core of your story and find surprising ways to capture people’s attention. When you enjoy the creative process, you’ll never fear a blank page again.

Holly leads all things design as a Designer at a San Francisco marketing firm. Ready to assist with your visual storytelling and post-production needs, she also creates all the visual aspects of the Pitch Mentorship including the Microsite, Ceremony Program, and Awards Presentation.

Julia leads projects as a Project Manager at a marketing firm, keeping everything running smoothly between clients and her agency team. Typically working behind the scenes for the Pitch Mentorship, she’s always ready to jump on a call and help you deliver the best possible final product. She’ll also play a key role in bringing the Pitch Awards Ceremony to life this April!
